Run Doc Run was started by a community of women physicians and activists who believe that we need more progressive women physicians in government and civic life. There are 15 physicians in the 115th U.S. Congress, but only two are Democrats and all 15 are men. Women physicians bring a unique set of skills and perspectives to public service. Run Doc Run is dedicated to training and elevating Democratic women physician leaders in in the United States.

Electing Women Matters.
We need more women in government. Women are 51% of the humans on earth, but only 19.4% of the U.S. Congress. The United States is woefully behind in women's representation in elected office.
However, the research demonstrates that women govern differently and even more effectively than their male counterparts.
We need the integrity, compassion and grit of women physicians in government.
